Sunrise Track is located in the Ruahine Ranges in Hawke’s Bay. It is a family friendly track which is pretty safe in most weather conditions. This is an easy walk on a well maintained track. The walk is almost entirely up-hill and will take about 2 – 3 hours or about 5 hours return. I’m sure some super-fit people could reach the hut in an hour if so inclined!
Percy Isles are part of the Northumberland Islands which are located south-east of Mackay, off the Queensland Coast of Australia. They can only be reached by private boat (no ferries). The island has abundant maritime history and a long tradition of welcoming cruisers. Cruisers are welcome ashore and there is a fabulous place for all to gather, chat, share sundowners or a BBQ with fellow travellers. The large A-frame structure on the beach has a few basic facilities including chairs and tables. There is lighting powered by solar panels and an information area were you can purchase the local produce. Nearby there is a BBQ, fire pit, shower and toilet.
Our four night stay at Kingsacre was just lovely. We came to think of Kingsacre as a little oasis and treated our stay as a relaxing get away. This accommodation is surrounded by gorgeous lush gardens, and even though it is only a short walk to the beach, and the hustle and bustle of Nai Yang, you do get the feeling of being somewhere secluded and relaxing.
Hawke’s Bay, on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island, is actually New Zealand’s oldest wine region with a history beginning as early as 1851. The area has a temperate climate, and being one of New Zealand’s warmest and driest regions it is perfect for producing the award winning wines it is famous for. Hawke’s Bay is known predominately for Bordeaux style reds, Chardonnay and the famed Gimblett Gravels.
Port Adelaide has been transformed into a giant, outdoor gallery as result of the 2015 and 2017 Wonderwalls Street Art Festivals. Wonderwalls is a 3-day mural festival that has been held in Wollongong and Port Adelaide (Australia) several times over the past few years.
I would not hesitate to recommend this as a fun activity, for groups, couples, individuals, children’s birthday parties and definitely for tourists wanting to have fun and see some sights (great views from the upper level). I also think it is a safe way to conquer your fear and an awesome way to test your strength, agility and ability for those wanting to challenge themselves.
