Things to do in Coober Pedy – Old Timer’s Mine, Breakaways Conservation Park, Dog Fence, Underground church, underground hotel, caravan park and accommodation. We also found a place pertaining to have the “best pizza in Australia”… but is it?
Our four night stay at Kingsacre was just lovely. We came to think of Kingsacre as a little oasis and treated our stay as a relaxing get away. This accommodation is surrounded by gorgeous lush gardens, and even though it is only a short walk to the beach, and the hustle and bustle of Nai Yang, you do get the feeling of being somewhere secluded and relaxing.
Once in the cave we took hold of the rope and began to pull ourselves deeper into the cave. Soon all natural light had disappeared. It was dark, very dark and my torch was pretty much useless… I was sticking to Dwayne like glue. I didn’t like the fact I couldn’t see anything and, surprising myself, I was a little scared! Yep me, I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t relax, I was almost on top of Dwayne now, holding onto his leg, I just couldn’t get close enough to feel safe….
We finally caught up with our “virtual” cruising buddies, SV Tiki – Heather and Neil. SV Tiki had been sailing the same direction as us but we had just missed each other or we’d gone slightly different ways. We had briefly met Neil in Serangan, Bali, but not Heather; Facebook, blogs and messenger kept the four of us up to date on each others progress.
Senibong Cove was not actually on our way but it was worth the detour to catch up with Tiki and her crew. We had a great time catching up over drinks at the bar and they introduced us to the “PORK HOCK”…. Dwayne was sold!
