Beef Rendang is a spicy meat dish that originated from the Minangkabau ethnic group of Indonesia. Beef, coconut milk, lime leaves, and a paste of mixed ground spices, which includes ginger, galangal, turmeric, lemongrass, garlic, shallot and chilli.
Street food is so much cheaper than eating in the restaurants and, more often than not, it is much tastier. Go further afield for cheaper and more authentic street food. Eat where the locals eat.
Street vendors peddling delicious local balinese foods are a common sight on the streets of Bali. Many of my favourite Balinese foods are sold by street vendors, either from their street stall or food carts. Street foods sold on the streets of Bali, and in fact all of Indonesia, are varied, cheap and tasty.
